CACHE LEVEL 5 DIPLOMA IN LEADERSHIP FOR HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE AND CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE’S SERVICES
This CACHE Level 5 Diploma is a qualification that provides the skills and knowledge needed to manage practice and lead others in children and young people’s services or adult health and social care.
This programme is directed towards senior practitioners who are looking to develop their careers and move on to managerial positions while maintaining active participation in the educational premises.
Pathways: This qualification allows for 6 pathways: Safeguarding and protection; Developing and carrying out policy; Managing care services, change programmes and recruitment; Promoting and developing best practice; Supporting development and partnership working; Care management; and Quality systems and improvement.
Entry Requirements: Learners must have a Level 3 Early Years or similar qualification and be a minimum of 19 years of age.
To be able to study for this 90 credit level 5 course, you would ideally be employed in the role of Deputy or Manager granting you the opportunity to put to practice what you learn on this course.
Teaching Method: Learners will be taught in a classroom setting by experienced and qualified trainers.
Assessment Model: All units will be internally assessed using a range of methods. This will include direct observation within the workplace, a portfolio of evidence, written assignments or a task, and a research project.
Duration: The stipulated duration of the course is 9-10 months.
Future job prospects: Considering you are already on the path of management (Director/Manager), upon completion of this course you would ideally continue in the same capacity with a broader understanding of the scope your role entails.
